Seven short RAMSI Farewell interviews on the Mission, peace and stability, civil society, culture, tradition, church, women, youth, reconciliation and challenges facing the country going forward.
DFAT commissioned indigenous film company Bacon Factory Films to produce a series of short clips documenting some of the challenges faced by Solomon Islanders, Government officials and RAMSI personnel, as well as RAMSI’s achievements.
Director: Dean Gibson, Producer: Stephen Limkin and Cinematographer: Scott Wood. Duration ranges from 60-90 secs each. Filmed in Honiara from 17-30 June 2017. Films also include some archival footage by phorographers Sean Davey, Ben Bohane and others.
The film clips capture the voices of significant Solomon Islanders involved in RAMSI and rebuilding the country since the Tensions, as well as Pacific Island Forum, Australian, New Zealand and other regional leaders.
