New Zealand Foreign Minister visits RAMSI

New Zealand Foreign Minister, the Hon. Murray McCully has visited RAMSI Headquarters in Solomon Islands to discuss progress under the Solomon Islands Government-RAMSI Partnership Framework.

Mr McCully, on his fourth visit to RAMSI as New Zealand’s Foreign Minister, was briefed by RAMSI Special Coordinator, Nicholas Coppel on a range of issues related to RAMSI’s work, including the strengthening of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), the significant improvements to the Solomon Islands economy and the progress towards RAMSI’s transition.

During his visit Minister McCully also met with members of RAMSI 80-strong New Zealand contingent of police, military and civilians, to discuss their work in Solomon Islands as part of RAMSI.
