'Talking Truth'

Talking Truth is the weekly radio show, broadcast each week across Solomon Islands, that covers key developments and current events affecting life throughout Solomon Islands.

Since 2003, Talking Truth has provided Solomon Islanders with in-depth analysis of the key events and changes throughout their country, including interviews with many of the key leaders and organisations working to improve life for Solomon Islanders.

Many Talking Truth episodes are recorded live at key events and public meetings in locations throughout Solomon Islands. Discussion is always lively, open and direct.

Talking Truth is broadcast in Solomon Islands pijin, and has been sponsored by RAMSI since it was first broadcast in 2003.

 

Your host: Dorothy Wickham

Dorothy Wickham, the host of Talking Truth, is one of the Pacific region’s most experienced journalists. For over 17 years, Dorothy has been one of the key faces reporting on Solomon Islands life, including throughout the country’s ethnic tension period between 1998 and 2003.

Dorothy has served as a correspondent for Radio Australia, Radio New Zealand International and the Agence France-Presse (AFP). In addition, Dorothy is also the Managing Director of One Television, Solomon Islands’ first and only dedicated television network.
