Deputy Special Coordinator
Alex Cameron commenced as RAMSI’s Deputy Special Coordinator in January 2015. As Deputy Special Coordinator, Mr Cameron provides support and advice to the Special Coordinator, and has specific responsibility for policy support to police rearmament.
Prior to commencing with RAMSI, Mr Cameron worked within the New Zealand Aid Programme managing components of New Zealand’s Official Development Assistance in the Pacific. Mr Cameron’s previous work experience includes a broad range of corporate, management and consulting roles across the public and private sectors; particularly in the areas of health and social services. Mr Cameron served as a Medic in the New Zealand Defence Force.
Mr Cameron is a graduate of the New Zealand Defence Force Joint Services Health School and has completed post graduate studies in Public Health at the University of Otago.
